Hi Tamu,
I am one of Erica Murray's friends, and I just saw your comment on her blog. Thank you so much for thinking of her family and friends in the middle of your sadness. I am so sorry that Emru also lost his battle. I visited his blog from time to time and had seen news of his relapse.
You are very strong for continuing to educate people about the need for African American donors. I hope that you're holding up ok.
Abby
Tamu,
I listened to the interview a few days ago. You were fabulous! I am moved at how much effort you are continuing to put into educating the public, even after Emru has so recently passed.
The two of you were a remarkable team and it is plain to see that you have made a huge difference in the world.
I hope you will accept the small token of the Butterfly Award, which I offer to both you & Emru for all the work you have put into teaching the world about bone marrow & stem cell donation.
Thank you both for sharing your journey with the rest of us,
Ruby
