I just discovered these now, so nearby Californians have got about half a day to go and/or tell their friends. If you were planning on catching a matinee with some friends, make an evening of it: register, have an early dinner, then see the movie.
The drives are for 2-year-old leukemia patient Tatiana Vaitai. As she is Tongan, they are particularly looking for Asians and Pacific Islanders. But as we always stress, anyone could be a match. From the Times-Herald: What: Asian American bone marrow donor driveFrom Mercury News: The bone marrow drive is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Peninsula Second Tongan Ward at 3601 Alameda de las Pulgas, in San Mateo.
