A CTV.ca article talks about how easy it is to get on the bone marrow registry via cheek swabs in Canada (except Quebec, where blood samples are used). Just order the kit and do it at home:
With the kit, the DNA is collected by swabbing the inside of your cheek. Four samples are taken from four different areas. The swabs are then put back into the package, and sent to Canadian Blood Services' lab.It should be mentioned that this is the same system that's used in the United States. Hit up our registries page to order your kit today. Message Archives |

Hi Emru
Saw the article on Boing Boing about the site and situation.
You were one of my users in the old pre-internet days, and we sysops never abandon our old users.
I've started spreading the word, and will be registering for matching.
If there is anything else we can do (besides registering for matching), please let us know. Perhaps a donate button for expenses?
Take care,
The Dungeon Master
DM! Great to hear from you!
Registering and spreading the word are fantastic to start with, but we're always open to new ideas, suggestions and help of any kind. If it comes to mind, just hit that contact link.
Thanks again!
